Open Position: Development Director (Job Description)

Reports to: CEO
Classification: Salaried, full-time
Ministry Purpose: This position plays a significant role in achieving BRWC’s religious mission and thus, has a ministry purpose. Every staff member and volunteer shall serve this purpose in their job and, in doing so, be in an active ministry position with the Center.
Job Summary: Create, develop, and manage a comprehensive CRM system to track and report
all donations. Lead the donor development team that encourages, maintains, and increases
philanthropic sources of income by coordinating all fundraising events and developing donor
and other relationships within the community.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Lead the creation and development of a comprehensive CRM system to manage all donor, partner, and prospect information.
2. Ensure accurate input, tracking, and reporting of donations, pledges, and donor communications to CRM software.
3. Segment donor lists for targeted outreach, campaigns, and personalized stewardship.
4. Report on giving trends, donor retention, and campaign outcomes to guide leadership decisions.
5. Coordinate and oversee all aspects of fundraising events such as Walk for Life, Night of Life, etc.
6. Initiate and develop all appeals and marketing for new and existing donors.
7. Maintain donor relationships through thank you notes, meetings, calls, and gifts.
8. Develop, schedule, and deliver presentations to churches and other groups to promote the Ministry of BRWC.
9. Oversee and manage development team (Baby Bottle Coordinator and Communications Coordinator).
10. Provide facility tours for individuals and groups to explain the ministry of BRWC.
11. Collaborate with the CEO, Board of Directors, and Financial Administrator to develop and implement financial strategies that align with BRWC’s mission and goals.
12. Collaborate with the Financial Administrator to monitor actual performance against the budget
and provide regular updates and analysis to the CEO.
13. Present development updates/trends at regular Board meetings.
14. Support the religious mission of the Center and regularly encourage the spiritual growth of
staff, volunteers, and supporters.
15. Reinforce the humanity and value of the unborn child with staff, donors, and others.
16. Participate in staff prayer and devotions regularly.
17. Uphold the Center’s policies and procedures, especially the religious principles in the
Statement of Faith and the Expectations of Employee Conduct Based on its Core Christian Beliefs.
18. Assist CEO by performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Personal Characteristics:
• Must be a sincere, committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior, as evidenced by a consistent Christian walk, regular Bible study, and church attendance.
• Believes in the sanctity of all human life from the moment of conception through natural death and would not refer or advise a woman to have an abortion.
• Expresses a sincere desire to reach and help at-risk clients considering abortion.
• Must be committed to BRWC’s life-centric approach of ministering and not manipulating.
• Must agree with BRWC’s Statement of Faith, Mission, Motivation, Principles,
Commitment of Care and Competence, and Expectations of Employee Conduct Based on its Core Christian Beliefs.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and manner.
• Exhibits strong interpersonal, spiritual, and administrative skills, takes initiative, and is
flexible, dependable, and responsible.
• Must have the ability to organize and perform work in cooperation with other staff
members.
• Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision.

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in development/marketing, non-profit management, or a relate field
• 3-5 years proven experience in non-profit events development/management and
fundraising required
